A rainstorm unusually strong for early October blew through the county last night, dropping 0.18 of an inch of rain on Lindbergh Field between 8 and 9 p.m. and a bit less over a good portion of the county.
National Weather Service Forecaster Mark Moede said the rain should be gone by this morning with clouds giving way to clear skies by afternoon.
A high pressure system will heat things up over the next few days with high temperatures in the inland valleys expected to reach 85 to 90 degrees tomorrow and Tuesday. Wednesday could be even warmer, with highs approaching 95.
Temperatures near the coast will also be higher than normal, with highs between 70 and 80 tomorrow and Tuesday.
